Beach House Motion Poster

Beach House produces atmospheric and immersive music that blends vocal melodies with instrumentals seamlessly. This motion poster serves as a promotion for the group’s Once Twice Melody Tour. The undulating wave represents a realm the listener enters when immersed in the music. Within the realm are floating objects in full color as a visual reminder of the light and active aspects of the music. Outside of the realm, the floating objects are white to further communicate the singular experience that each song within the Once Twice Melody album creates. The motion poster emphasizes the metaphorical tie, but it can also be viewed as a printer poster.

Danse Macabre Motion Graphic

Featuring the song, Danse Macabre Op. 40 by the Malmo Symphony Orchestra, this motion graphic uses form, time, and sound to display synesthesia. Synesthesia is the production of color, or sight, through sound. The color choices relate to the active sounds and movements of the song. Triangles further demonstrate the quick and relentless pace of the classic song. Circle shapes are incorporated to mirror the softening of the pace and key of the song. Form transitions into figure ground as the music progresses and transitions. Overall, the shapes are activated by color and movement throughout the movements of the song.
