DOMA Accessibility App
This app focuses on people with Parkinson’s Disease and how their experience at the David Owsley Museum of Art can be improved through an app. The inspiration for this design came from research of the disease, accessibility best practices, and examples of other accessibility options and designs. Since those with Parkinson’s typically experience tremors, impaired balance, and stiffness in body and gait, the design focused on increasing button sizing, contrast, and text sizes. A map of DOMA was made with clear and simple lines for suggested routes through the museum and locations of bathrooms, elevators, parking, and entrances.
